Quodus.ai at NACUBO 2026: Space Data for Capital Decisions

The Quodus booth at NACUBO 2026, a roll-up either side of the table and a screen showing the scheduling audit

Last week the Quodus.ai team was in Anaheim, California, for the NACUBO 2026 Annual Meeting, where college and university business officers met from July 18 to 21. You could find us at booth 637.

For business officers weighing tough capital and operating decisions, one question comes before the rest: build new space, or unlock the capacity you already have? Knowing how classrooms and facilities are truly used is what settles it. With that visibility, capital expenditure can be deferred while the student experience improves, through smarter space management.

Beyond the schedule, in three steps

Our roll-ups made the case like this.

The blind spot. The schedule says your rooms are fully booked; Quodus shows they're empty. The ERP knows what was planned, but not what happened in the room.

Optimize space. Our banner's headline: 15–20% more usable space, with no new buildings. The cheapest building is the one you never build, so:

  • Defer or avoid new construction
  • Stop paying to heat, clean and maintain space no one uses
  • Right-size rooms to real demand

Elevate academics. Grow the mission, not the footprint:

  • Absorb more students, sections and programs in space you already own
  • Match every class to the right-sized room
  • Redirect the capital you avoid to faculty, programs and students

Between the roll-ups, the screen ran the platform's scheduling audit, and visitors saw in a live demo how real-time IoT data turns square footage into a strategic asset.

Thank you to everyone who came to booth 637. If we didn't get to talk in Anaheim, or you'd like to see what your own campus has to give, ask us for a demo.
