Who we are

Quodus Inc. (“Quodus,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware corporation, company number 7846481, at 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, DE 19901, United States. We are responsible for quodus.ai and for the information collected through it from visitors outside the European Union.

Information we collect on this website

• When you request a demo: your name, work email, institution and message. They reach us by email.
• Your language and cookie choice: two small cookies of our own remember which language you read the site in and what you chose in the cookie banner.
• Only if you allow it: with analytics allowed, Google Analytics measures visits and the pages seen; with marketing allowed, Apollo.io works out which organization a visit comes from, from the network it arrives on. Neither runs until you say yes in the cookie banner.
• Technical information: like any website, ours receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page, and our hosting provider keeps them in standard server logs for security.

The cookie policy lists every cookie, what it is for and how long it lasts.

How we use it

• To answer your demo request and to follow up with you about Quodus.
• To understand how the website is used, and make it better.
• To know which institutions are interested in Quodus, if you allowed marketing.
• To keep the website secure and working.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and reach you: our hosting and email providers and, if you allow them, Google and Apollo.io, each for the purpose described above.

We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request.

Data we process for universities and colleges

When an institution uses Quodus, we process data on its behalf, under our agreement with it. The institution decides what is collected and is responsible for it; we act as its service provider.

• Our sensors count the people in a space and tell whether it, and each desk in it, is in use. Images are processed as they are captured and destroyed right away: only anonymous counts and occupancy are kept.
• We don’t use facial recognition or any other biometric technology, and we don’t identify anyone.
• To compare how spaces are used with how they were booked, we import the institution’s class schedule, which can include instructors’ names and work email addresses.
• Where this data is stored and processed is set in each institution’s agreement with us.
• Some features use AI models. We don’t give them personal or sensitive information.

We don’t sell this data or use it for advertising. If a security incident affects it, we tell the institution within 72 hours. When an agreement ends, we delete the data or return it to the institution.

If you study or work at an institution that uses Quodus and have a question about this data, please contact your institution. If you write to us, we will pass your request on to it.

Security

Our information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and access to personal information is limited to the people who need it for their work. Our information security policy sets out how we manage it.

Your choices

• You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time from Cookie settings, at the foot of every page.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to dpd@quodus.ai.
• Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under state privacy law. We honor them where they apply, and we won’t treat you differently for using them.

Children

This website is meant for people who work at universities and colleges. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top.

Terms of use

By using quodus.ai you agree to these terms. They cover the website only: the Quodus service itself is provided under a separate agreement with each institution.

Using the website

You may browse the website, and print or save its pages for your own information. Please don’t use it for anything unlawful, try to gain access to parts of it you are not meant to reach, interfere with how it works, or copy its content for commercial use without our permission.

Intellectual property

The website’s content, design and code, and the Quodus name and logo, belong to Quodus Inc. or its licensors and are protected by law.

No warranties

The website and its content are provided “as is.” We work to keep them accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee that they are complete, current or free of errors, or that the website will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Quodus Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website.

Links to other websites

Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We don’t control those websites and are not responsible for their content.

Changes

We may change the website and these terms at any time. The version published here is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and any dispute about them will be heard by the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
